I'm a NYC native, born and raised in Queens. I'm currently an Engineering Lead / Manager at Movable Ink. I've been at Movable Ink since April 2015 where I started off as a Junior Engineer. I work closely with other engineers, product managers and designers on a platform that is leading its own space in digital marketing.
At Movable Ink, I've had the opportunity to work with many different technologies that make up our tech stack. To name a couple of projects that I'm proud to have worked on: a redesign of our platform's main content builder, upgrades to our Ember and Rails testing suite to speed up our CI wait times, and an ingestion tool that helps marketers integrate their static data into their content much easier. I've also had the privilege of owning features and leading new offerings since becoming the technical lead for the Integrations team, to name a few: a revamp of a nightly SFTP cron job into a fully featured queue based solution with a front end for on demand transfers, a new webhook solution to deliver real-time stats to clients who wanted to drive sophisticated usecases, and technical ownership of our primary integrations tool that allows us to build flexible use cases with our many client and partner APIs.
I've been a volunteer at ScriptEd (now called CodeNation) where I taught web development principles at an underfunded high school. I've also volunteered as a mentor for hackathons at my high school, The Bronx High School of Science.
Before Movable Ink, I attended Stonybrook University and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology. My interest in programming was lit after taking a handful of introduction courses taught in Java. After graduating, I became a summer intern at The CDM Group where I wrote documentation and built one-off scripts to solve small problems. Shortly after, I attended a bootcamp called App Academy and from there, my career in web development started.
